The Great Notch Inn is a family-owned tavern that was opened by Gregory and Florence DiLeo in 1939. For many years the Notch served breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with a variety of beer and liquor. While everything around has changed, the Great Notch Inn has basically remained the same. Gregory DiLeo operated the bar until his passing in 1988, leaving the business to his daughter Florence and children Rich and Gail. Since 1988, the Great Notch Inn has found its niche as a live music venue, hosting many rock and blues bands from the tri-state area — featuring live entertainment every night. The Notch also offers limited food and takeout beer and wine from open till close. The beautiful front porch attracts bikers and locals who enjoy a cold beer and the old-time roadhouse feel.
